Cute little Kindergarten moments.

Karley has a program coming up at school and from what I have heard from the years past it is a real tear jerker. I was helping her with her homework tonight and she started singing one of the songs. I broke down right there and realized that I am in a lot of trouble if I am going to sit through a 45 minute program in a few weeks with songs like this. When did it happen? When did my baby get so big? I know everyone says it goes sooooo fast but I am amazed at how quick this year has gone. :(

On the flip side. I am planning one heck-of-a party for the last day of school. It is going to be a luau and we have tons and tons of decorations and food planned. All of the neighborhood kids will be here and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the beginning of summer break. I will be taking lots of pictures and will post them for you all. There is only 3 and a half weeks of school left! WOW!!!!!

Ear Infections.......

I am in the process of spring cleaning but this damn ear infection that I am still dealing with his holding me back from going my usual 150%. I have never felt pain like this.....it is horrible and I now understand why babies SCREAM when they have ear infections. I want to scream too.....

I did get the yard mowed today and some of the windows cleaned. That is a chore in itself. I am waiting for Todd and Karley to get home from Girl Scouts so I can talk him into helping me move the furniture. He will be thrilled.

I will blog more later in the week when i have more to talk about and when I am feeling better.

If I thought my house was a disaster before this weekend, I was waaaaay off.

Between struggling to figure out a way to keep the kids from FREAKING OUT about a possible tornado or to just do the simple work I want to get done in the yard (and don't even get me started on the ongoing, never ending basement project.), I have been busy reading a few really, really good books that I literally haven't been able to put down and the new movie renting addiction we have just begun, my poor home has been even more neglected than before. For example:

The floors? Well they aren't just a little dirty and sticky: they are now a shade darker than usual (damn dust bunnies) and a bit crunchy. Ick....

The laundry isn't a bit behind: it's flowing out the door and into our bedroom.

The dishes are the lucky ones. I HAVE to wash them if we want to eat. Still, they are soaking in water and we have resorted to using paper plates.

Not to mention that lately my posts have been crazy ramblings about nothing lately. .Yes. This is my post. I apologize. I promise to return eventually with something thought-provoking...

This weekend we were supposed to go to Wellington for TZ's grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. However, Karley and I both got sick. I have been sick since Tuesday with this nasty cold and sinus stuff. When karley got off the bus on Friday she was crying about how her throat hurt. I took her immediately to the minor med-type place and had them check both of us out. Turns out we both have double ear infections, I have a sinus infection and bronchitis. Karley has strep throat and a sinus infection too. WE ARE A MESS. So, we postponed the trip and have decided to go for a day in a few weeks.

Todd did get some work done in the basement and we had a really nice weekend despite being sick. I will post pictures soon. I am just too lazy to get off this couch and take them. Plus...as you read above, I think I better clean up the area before i take some photos of it. It is even more of a disaster than the upstairs.

Tomorrow is cleaning day. Just right after I take Karley lunch and run some errands. Did I mention that I don't have to work at the dentist office tomorrow???!!!

Short Weekend update

Tomorrow is my Last day at work..................YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

It was my mom's birthday today so we spent the weekend celebrating. (because she is awesome and that's what we do) My dad was out of town at a work thing so Jamie came home and we all hung out. Todd was so sweet and made a cake for her (all by himself) and it turned out perfect! We did a little shopping and went out to dinner. It was a lot of fun.

My new favorite song is "It won't be like this for Long" by Daruis Rucker. For me, this song makes me cry EVERY time I hear it. It is a snapshot of my life I swear. I think good old Darius wrote the song specifically for me. Seriously.

HAPPY EASTER

We had a great Easter. On Saturday, Jamie, Mom, Dad and the dogs came out to help us color Easter eggs and Make an Easter House. It was a lot of fun!

On Easter Sunday, Karley woke up and we told her that the Easter bunny probably came. She could care less about it. I promise you, she wasn't interested in getting out of bed and going to look. (Weirdo) She got lots of candy and a few DS games. She was much more interested in playing with Aunt Jamie though.

This last photo is of my Grandma AKA GG. Karley is showing off how well she can read. She read her 3 books that day. We were excited to have GG for lunch.

It's Todd's 32nd birthday!!!

Isn't it approprate that his birthday is on April Fools Day??

We had a great day. Tonight when he got home we had his presents waiting on the counter for him.

I let karley pick out what we got todd this year and there were some interesting choices. She wanted to get him a coloring book so they could color together. She wanted to get him some sweet tarts (one of his favorite candies) and a roll of toilet paper that we wrote April Fools Day on. Why? I am not sure but she thought it would be hilarious! She was laughing the whole time he was opening his gifts and when it came to the TP she just started cracking up.....Too cute.

One of the best gifts she gave him was a picture frame that she painted. We had so much fun making this and she is excited that he is going to take it to work and put it on his desk.

As most of you know, I have been trying to get ready for this garage sale and so today i was in the garage pricing some junk and I looked over where todd's golf clubs are and saw a box sitting behind them. I went over to check it out and noticed that he had purchased himself a new pair of golf shoes and then HID them in the garage. I went ahead and brought the box into the house and had karley give it to him as another present. LOL!! What a turd!

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner (todd's favorite) and then home to catch up on American Idol and get to sleep.

I forgot to mention that Karley got off the school bus today and her other bottom tooth was literally hanging out of her mouth. I couldn't resist the photo opportunity just to prove it to Todd. She finally let me pull it (sorry Cyndi...I know you were wanting to do it!) So now she is so excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. She even told our neighbor that since the tooth fairy gave her $5 for her first tooth then she will probably get $10 for the second and $15 for the 3rd.....Do I have a smart one or what????
