Best Buddies

School is going great so far!  Karley loves her teacher and loves being in cheer (instead of dance)  We are finally getting back into the swing of things......it's always kind of a mess the first few weeks of school but this year has been very easy! 
I was going through some old photos of Karley tonight and came across this one.  It was taken at the ball field last season and I just had to share it.  These three have so much fun when they are together.  I am lucky to have their moms as my good friends as well.  Enjoy!

First day of 3rd Grade!!

Back to School!  I can hardly believe its already here.  Where did summer go?  Karley found out last Friday who her teacher is going to be this year.  It was the longest day ever.....She got Mrs. David and couldn't be more excited.  I am praying that we have a smooth year.  I have heard that 3rd grade at IH is really difficult.  I say BRING IT.  We're ready. (except for the math part.....TZ can take care of that!)  :)

So, shes excited about her teacher and most of her classmates.  She even told me that she feels its going to be a really good year.  I love this.  If you remember, we struggle every single year with the tears and not wanting to go to school.  This year she seemed ready and even a little excited.  Now if we could just get the bedtime routine back on track.....

So, the place was not packed at all which is awesome, the weather was great and we were all totally exhausted by the time we left but we all had a great day!  I can't believe my baby is 8!!!  I also can't believe she thought schlitterbauhn was pronounced Shit-er-bon.  :)

4th of July!!

 We had a great 4th of July!  Our friends from Oklahoma came to celebrate and shoot off some fireworks.  It gets crazy around here this time of year.  People in this neighborhood love to spend money on fireworks!  Here is a photo of TZ and Chris setting off a lantern.  These things are the coolest.  Dangerous but very cool.

 I was so busy that i didn't take time to get ready.....between the waterslide and buying fireworks the day got away from me.  Thank God for TZ's hat collection!  Miss Bug looks super cute though!

 Light and RUN!!!!  She learned her lesson from last year when one took off and went up her dress.  Still, she has no fear!!

For Karley's actual birthday we went to Schlitterbauhn water park in Kansas City.  The weather called for 80% chance of thunderstorms so there were about 100 people in the park.  (For the record it didn't even rain...once)  We felt we had the park to ourselves and it was so much fun.  I have some photos on my camera that I will upload soon.

Branson 2011

2 weeks ago we set out for a little vacation to Branson, Missouri where we met up with our friends from Oklahoma.  We were very busy for the 5 days we were there and got a lot of fun things in.  We spent a day at silver dollar city, shopped until we dropped, went go-carting, bumper boating, and more go-carting.  We ate at some awesome places and even saw the Dixie Stampede show!  WHEW!  Here are a few photos from our fun time.
