Sore Losers, facebook fighting and Sunni's b-day!

First off: Happy Birthday Sunni! Hope you have a great day!!!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So if anyone REALLY knows me they would know that I am a KSU fan.
With saying that it does not mean that I don't like KU either (unlike my husband and sister) but seriously? What is going on with some of their fans.
(I said "some" people....calm down.)
This whole fiasco started last weekend when we were watching the game. My cousin was trash talking ALL SEASON and although it was a bit obnoxious I let her have her moment and would respond joking back with her. She got on a roll sometimes and it almost always ended with her explaining her PHD and how incredibly smart she is.....okay. back to the story.
I know that KU had a really good season....until they didn't. But when they lost she posted something on facebook that was not cool. Our conversation went a little something like this:
Nan-the man: "f-you KSU fans."
Me: "ouch nan, you can dish it but you can't take it???"
then she came back at me with a post about how she didn't understand what i meant by her dishing it out and not taking it in return. After all, she got her PhD at K-state and is really a true KSU fan and blah blah blah blah....
HUH? i was confused.
Then she started picking on my sister....That convo went like this:
Jamie: I love UNI :)
Nan-the-man: Actually Jamie i would expect something better from you. You wish you could be as classy as me. I have a PHD and am so friggin pretty and smart and you are trash and worthless.
Okay so I am exaggerating a little with the PHD thing but the conversation was about how classy nan is and un-classy Jamie is. It was hateful and ignorant and mean.
again, not cool. and I was starting to get really mad (which is never good)
So, fast forward to today's game. KSU lost. Sad.
Me (on facebook): "sad day. what a horrible game to watch"
chick from high school: "have to say karma is a bitch huh."well KU will always have the big 12 champs what does KSU have? Jack poop so they made it to the elite eight so what.."
UM, WHAT? Does this even make sense to you KU fans? how stupid of a comment was that?
So, I responded and she deleted her comments! You can't take back a fight you started! That's cheating! BOO! HISS!! Not cool!
Oh hell, if you want to see just look at my facebook page.
You will not be able to see nan-the-man's post. She deleted me....and my sister....and my mom.....and my dad.....and she also had HER mom and dad delete us all. Yes folks, we got deleted from my dad's side of the family over KU basketball. Oh the trouble we can get ourselves into!
Sheesh! Not classy at all!
Whatever, I am over it. Now i need to pick a new team. Go Baylor? Sounds good to me! I hope I don't offend anyone!

Spring Break

Here's Mr Max. He is all healthy now and loves to play with Karley. She pushes him in a stroller and carries him in a carseat. Such a trooper.

What an awesome spring break! My only complaint is that it went WAAAYYYY too fast. I love spending time with my Karley Girl. She is so much fun.

We started off the week by going to KC with the neighbors for a birthday celebration. We hit up Legends and had a blast. That day ended with Todd, Karley and I going to Nebraska Furniture mart. Dangerous!

On Wednesday Karley and I went to my sisters house for the rest of the week. Jamie had an Arbonne/St Pattys party and when Todd got off work he came and took karley to Chuck-E-Cheese so she wouldn't be completely bored.

On Thursday Anna, Cyndi and I took the kids to Olathe. They have a place called Monkey Bizness that is an AMAZING place for kids (and very relaxing for parents) They have a lot of huge inflatables for the kids to jump on and it wore them out! WOO HOO!

I had just as much fun as karley--This place was awesome~!!!

....
After Monkey Bizness we met Jason (anna's husband) at Joes Crab Shack for lunch and to watch the KSU game. The kids had a whole playground to themselves and we had a whole restaurant to ourselves!

Later that night we met up with my friend, Amanda. We decided to head down to the Plaza for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. YUM. We had a lot of fun--its always good to see her.

On Friday the snow came. Kansas City got a LOT of snow....YUCK. BOO....HISS... Not a fan.

On Saturday we spent our time watching basketball. WHAT A DAY FOR BASKETBALL!!! I was sad to see the Jayhawks lose (although I was not impressed with Sherron Collins and the 'tude he was pulling) but thrilled when KSU won. I was watching the game with my husband (the biggest KU hater) and so it was a big night for him.

So, here I am on Sunday night not at all excited to get back into a routine of work and school....I have started the countdown of 49 days until summer vacation! I am sure Kansas City will be a regular stop this summer. We had so much fun!

KU/KSU big 12 Championship Game!!!!

Yesterday was a busy day! I met my friend, Amanda for a lunch/gossip session
and then headed off with the family (minus mom and Karley) to the Big 12 championship game in Kansas City. We had passes to the suite and could arrive for food and drinks at 3 pm. It was so much fun!!!!

Todd's BFF Sunni and her husband Curt were there and so we made plans to meet up with them as well. It was so nice to see them!!!

Here is Jamie and Sunni Right before the game.

Todd and Sunni

AWWW! They missed each other!~Everyone should be as lucky to have a friendship like they do.....I love it!

Silly Curt....He is a KSU fan but since they had prime seats he couldn't properly display his love and had to wear a shirt over the Purple....Sad, I know....I call this picture his NyQuil commercial shot. You know...like Opollo Ohno? Only it's Curt.

All of us! I love these guys!

Todd and Curt.

Sunni and I

I don't know what it is about my sister always having to pose with random things....She was very excited when she saw the Chick-fil-a cow. Earlier she posed with the Phillips 66 gas pump (yes, there was someone dressed up as one) and after the photo she accidentally knocked him down. HAHAHA!

Dad, Jamie and TZ in the VIP Lounge. I caught my dad w/a mouth full of food.
Todd and I

Posing with our posters. Getting ready to enter the Sprint Center.

Overall I had a lot of fun. If you took away the most obnoxious KU fan who sat RIGHT behind me w/ her stupid pom-pom that she was beating me with and her "I-smoke-6-packs-a-day" yelling voice (right in my ear) it would have been much better. (plus, she kept yelling sugar and sweetie and suck it!) I couldn't help but think of the KU/KSU game last year that I went to and had the fantastic view of the lady's butt in my face the whole game (again, a KU fan) and when the ushers asked her to sit down she said she wouldn't because she paid for those tickets and was going to stand.....I really don't have a problem with KU (unlike todd), but seriously?? I am beginning to think that I should stick to watching the games at home where I can get a full view and save my self the suffering of my ears ringing all night.
It's spring break week! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Bad Influence.

Should I be at all concerned that my 6 year olds favorite songs are boom boom pow, Single Ladies, and Tik Tok????? I am sitting here cleaning the house and I can hear Karley out back singing these songs and teaching all of her sweet little innocent friends. FANTASTIC!
I think this definitely qualifies me for Mother of the Year.

Dr. Seuss

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
Here are some of his great quotes:

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." — Dr. Seuss

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." — Dr. Seuss

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells." — Dr. Seuss

"A person's a person, no matter how small." — Dr. Seuss

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple" ---Dr. Seuss

"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You." — Dr. Seuss

"How did it get so late so soon?" — Dr. Seuss

"If things start happening, don't worry, don't stew, just go right along and you'll start happening too." — Dr. Seuss

"So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life's A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you'll move mountains!" — Dr. Seuss

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." — Dr. Seuss

Crazy and the Bachelor Finale

Only Crazy people talk to themselves.....Are you at all surprised that I happen to be one of them? Nope, me neither. Here is a very, very small sample of what i am talking about....

I have this ability of being able to tell myself to wake up at a certain time, and then actually doing it. If you tell me to wake up at 7AM--I'll wake up at 7AM, no alarm necessary. It's a pretty sweet super power to have actually--much better than throwing dust bunnies all over the place. (which I apparently have done around my house & have NO desire to fix it)

But here's the problem... even though I'm awake and aware that it's 7AM and that's the time that I said I WANT to get up--I've become very comfortable in my snugly warm bed. So, I open my eyes, push snooze and then debate if I really do need to get up now. Here's where the debate begins:

Me (talking to myself) "What if I fix Karley a bowl of fruit loops instead of waffles? That will buy me 10 minutes. If I serve her up the powdered doughnuts she can eat those on the go which buys me 10 MORE minutes! WOO HOO!"

Example #2-

"Since I got my new I-phone I am now able to check my e-mail and calendar on the go so that automatically buys me another 5 minutes. (thanks Todd!)

Most of the time I will spend 15 minutes trying to talk myself into styling my hair. (i heart ponytails--they just don't heart me!) Which is sad when you consider that on most days it only takes 15 minutes to get ready---that is showering, hair dried AND flat ironed and make up on. 15 MINUTES! However, since i spend 15 minutes laying in bed thinking about how i can get out of doing the above mentioned I am usually running late.....UGH!
Now, this story of talking to myself not only applies to dealing with how much more sleep i can score. It applies to almost all aspects of my life! Here's another example:

Me: (standing at the stove cooking tacos last week) I really, really, really hate fixing dinner. UGH!

Todd: (sitting in the living room) Um... are you talking to yourself again.

Me: "so, what's wrong with that? Shut up." hahaha

Then I go on....

Me: "Kel if you would just plan your menu for the week, you can have 20 minutes to play with karley after school instead of spending the time at 4pm wondering what's for dinner that night....

Todd: BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Another Example: "How about if, just for this week, I go to the grocery store, list in hand with groceries for the week. Then spend some time on Sunday afternoon fixing dinner for the WHOLE week....Then I will surely have time to do fun things, right? " (And by fun things I mean sit on my butt in front of the TV!)

Me again: "HAHA. Dream on! DAMN-IT"

Yesterday I needed to get gas and go to the grocery store. I hate getting gas. I hate the grocery store. HATE IT. But that's another story.

There I was standing coat-less, glove-less in the F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G cold air (I am being dramatic so you really understand how sick I am of winter!) trying to find my stupid debit card with my useless, frozen fingers (and face). I knew it was in my wallet somewhere, but I have this horrible habit not putting things back into my wallet where they belong but instead finding the worst possible place to put it. I promised myself that since my Debit card is my most used piece of plastic, I will put it in the first slot as soon as I am finished with it. I will do this every time! Every time. (instead of shoving it into my coupon saver gadget that keeps my coupons I never, ever use because I always forget!) I really mean it. Ten minutes later there I am at the grocery store digging through my wallet again looking for that damn card.

Anywhoo! Enough about that. I am bitching entirely too much.

We had a great weekend. Jamie and Lola (her dog) came home to visit and Mr. Max loved having the other dogs to play with. He is finally starting to act like a puppy and is so much fun! I will post photos later because I am at work and don't have them here.

On Sunday I got a text that todd's mom was coming...in 20 minutes... so we rushed around picking up the house and then went to dinner with her. She went to the Billy Joel/Elton John concert in Kansas City and said it was awesome. I am so jealous! I will just set my I-pod to some Elton John while i workout today and pretend that I saw the concert too.

Tonight is the bachelor finale. I have not gotten into this one like i have the past. Maybe it is because I think old what's his face is a total doofis. But I will watch....and cheer on Minnie mouse (aka Tinlee). Who is your pick??

Have a great week!!!
