Last Day of School Party!

The last day of School was a majorly emotional day for me. My wise, smart, and insightful daughter was so funny when she saw me crying she said, and I quote:
"Oh mommy. I know, saying good-bye is so hard sometimes! It's going to be okay. We will be best friends forever."

We started the night before by making a treat for the last day of school. Karley wanted this cookie cake and my mom happens to be the worlds best cookie cake maker so we enlisted her to help. Karley wanted me to write on the cake and I discovered that I should not be entering any cake decorating contests. :) Thank God it looked perfect through the eyes of my 6 year old.
Last day.....We went early to take the cookie and this is in front of the school. Yes, I was crying but trying not to which is always a disaster.
Getting off the bus. My emotional side had settled down and we were ready to PARTY!
Karley and Mr. Max.
Part of the gang going through the food line. Karley picked the menu so we had Cheetos, Doritos, chicken salad sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, cheese and crackers, Popsicles, snow cones, and another cookie cake!
Karley and Ameila.
Sam, Kevin and Logan sat on this couch looking at Karley's Ripley's believe it or not books. GROSS, COOL and very boy-ish.
Karleys teacher came by for the PARTY. We will miss her so much!

After the food we headed outside for some water fun. We got the slip-n-slide out and all the sprinklers were going. They even sat in the hot tub. (which I drained the next day) It was so fun to watch the kids play and not have to worry about going to bed early!
Happy Summer!
