FIELD DAY

I drove Karley to school today and when we were pulling into the parking lot she saw all of the blow up jumpers and said: "This is the best day EVER" She was so stinkin excited.
When we got into the classroom they were all ready to go and we gave the kids each an armband that allowed them to have 2 drinks, 2 cookies and a bag of popcorn each. As if that wasn't exciting enough---they were then divided into groups and I had these 3 girls (along with a much, much needed 6th grade helper) She was fantastic too. She did all of the RUNNING with the girls and I just followed and took pictures.

This is Soraya, Karley and Allie waiting to get into the jumper and go down the slide. I bet they had 10 inflatable jumpers and believe me, we hit all of them!!!

Here is the ginormous obstacle course. I bet we stood there waiting for the girls to finish for about 29 minutes. They just kept going again and again......

WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

This was the fireman boot race. It was awful.....Karley didn't even get a step in and fell right on her face...Both of her shoes fell off inside the boots and she couldn't get back up off the ground. At least she was laughing!!!

Mini golf. If you got a hole in one the helpers would give you a mini pack of skittles. Karley was determined to win this (and we found out that her golf skills are a lot like her daddy's) She didn't get the skittles but settled for some popcorn and a couple of cookies.

All year long the kindergartners have had study buddies from 4th grade. They come into the classroom and help the kids with different things like reading and writing in their journals. This is Karley's helper.

Along with field day today was the Book Fair. WHEW!!!!! I am wiped out. Next up is the graduation/pizza party tomorrow afternoon.
